CCJ’s On My Credit History

You have received a copy of your credit history, and you found it full of CCJ’s? Don’t worry. Here is some advice on how they affect your credit rating and how they are removed.

Firstly, don’t worry, the CCJ’s are not stuck on your credit history for life, and it is possible to re-build your history. Any CCJ that is paid off in the first 28 days will be removed from your credit history all together. If you pay the CCJ, but after the 28 day period then it won’t be automatically removed from your record, but there will be a note that it’s been paid completely. These paid off CCJ’s will remain on your record for 6 years before they are removed permanently.
